A new chapter begins in Miguel Ángel Ramírez’s career. After his spell at Real Zaragoza, the coach from Gran Canaria now takes charge of Malmö FF in the Swedish league.
It’s a change of scenery after his time in Spain, taking him to a completely different footballing environment with new goals ahead. Ramírez will officially assume his new position at the end of the year, but he will already be present periodically throughout December to familiarise himself with the club and begin preparations for the upcoming season.
The manager spoke to the club’s media about this new stage: “It’s a great honour, but also a great responsibility. Malmö’s philosophy is to develop talent but also to win. I share that vision. I want to win titles. Now it’s time to embrace that responsibility, step onto the pitch and make the fans proud.”
A warm welcome
Daniel Andersson, the club’s sporting director, has already welcomed him and said:
“He is a charismatic and passionate coach with incredible football knowledge that allows us to take another step forward. He’s a manager we’ve had our eye on for several years. He ticks all our boxes. Above all, he wants to play the kind of football we believe in. He also has experience in youth football and has developed many talented players, which is something we value greatly.”
