As you know, I have been informed that I am no longer the team’s coach and, believe me, I will miss every minute of working with this team, always with your unconditional support. I feel that the strong connection that we have built together these months goes far beyond a contract. The festive atmosphere that we have generated together is a lifelong experience and that reinforces the idea that football belongs to the people.
As you know, I haven’t been in professional football for long and I still understand this sport as a passion that is difficult to explain.
I want you to know that the daily effort and sacrifice of this squad have been extraordinary, I am very proud to have been able to direct their work at the head of a coaching staff that has given everything to this project that we can no longer finish. Therefore thank you to those players and all those workers behind the scenes whose dedication is admirable even if they do not monopolize headlines and microphones. We know that all that effort has not been in vain and that today soccer has more fans in the Carolinas than it did a year ago. We will never forget the first game, that record on March 5, the first goal, the first win… and all the love you have given us from the first day until today.
