All ‘MAR’ assistants have different courses and professional licenses to their credit. Endika Gaviña, born in Vitoria in 1985, has a Physical Activity and Sports Sciences degree. He has gone through the Alavés and Real Sociedad academies and even became the sports director of Burgos before the arrival of Miguel Pérez Cuesta, ‘Michu’. Luis Alberto Piedrahita, for his part, is the youngest of the six assistants of the Canarian coach. The assistant coach born in Colombia 25 years ago already knows what it is to belong to a professional group since, after his time in Chile, Ramírez trusted his football vision for his adventures in Ecuador, Brazil and the United States.
Cristóbal Fuentes from Cordoba is the physical trainer the Orlegi Group chose to accompany ‘MAR’ on their journey in Gijón. This graduate in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the University of Granada also completed a master’s degree in injury prevention and rehabilitation at the University of Castilla La Mancha.
Fuentes’ first professional experiences came in the youth ranks of Granada.
Then he went through several Spanish teams before joining Ramírez at Internacional de Porto Alegre and Charlotte of the American League.
